The composer Christoph Willibald GLUCK brought about a revolution in the opera world with his new composing style in the 1760s, bringing beautiful simplicity and calm greatness into his musical “language of humanity” as he called it himself. He gave the lyric drama truth of passion – to be expressed as naturally as possible.

In this concert you will hear arias, duets, and piano solo, from his operas Orphée, Paride ed Elena, Iphigénie, Les Pèlerins de la Mecque, and also from operas by his colleagues Cimarosa and Piccinni.

Van Bach tot Vierne  – muziek voor piano, orgel, en sopraan

Trio Familie de Bie neemt u mee in wervelende, hartstochtelijke en diepzinnige muzikale werelden. Er gaan klinken voor piano-solo van J.S.Bach Toccata d-moll BWV 913,  Beethoven Sonate op.2 nr.1 , Brahms Scherzo op.4,  Mozart Sonate KV 381  (met 4 handen),  de hartstochtelijke concertaria van Beethoven ‘Ah! perfido’ op.65,  romantische liederen van Henri Duparc en  Alexander de Bie speelt op het orgel de spectaculaire  finale uit de 5e orgelsymfonie van Louis Vierne.
